Have you ever noticed how noisy textures appear from a distance in high-resolution resource packs? The reason is that Minecraft only fully supports MIP-texturing for texture packs of 16×16 or smaller. Better Mipmaps Mod [1.21.1] [1.20.6] [1.20.1] mod aims to rectify that oversight by increasing the maximum MIP level to 10, allowing resource packs with resolutions up to 1024×1024 to look much better.
