This Minecraft tutorial explains the Mangrove Swamp biome with screenshots.

In Minecraft, you will spawn into worlds with unique weather, animals, and plants. These regions are known as biomes. Let’s explore the Mangrove Swamp biome in Minecraft.

Background

In Minecraft, the Mangrove Swamp is a biome in the Overworld that was introduced in the Wild Update. It is muddy and murky, and located in warmer, more humid places where you’d normally find the Swamp biome. The floor of the Mangrove Swamp biome is coated with a thick layer of mud (in fact, the mud generates all the way from the surface down to the stone).

In the Mangrove Swamp, you can find lots of warm frogs hopping around (ie: white frogs). This is also one of the biomes where you can find bees.

Let’s explore the characteristics of the Mangrove Swamp biome.

Weather

The weather in the Mangrove Swamp biome is very wet with lots of precipitation. You will find that it rains a lot.

Trees

In the Mangrove Swamp biome, you will find Mangrove Trees. This is a new type of water-adapted tree that spawns propped up on roots (and has a chance of spawning a bee nest):

Blocks

In this biome, you will find blocks such as mud, grass blocks, and bee nests:
