Pixel Perfect Shaders (1.20.4, 1.19.4) tries to overhaul the vanilla aesthetic while preserving gameplay with its focus on colors, performance, and functionality. While other shaders offer fantastic eye candy, they are more of a novelty than something that could replace Minecraft’s default visuals. This shader aims to change that. It gives content creators cool toys to play with – this shaderpack features several tools aimed at making video-creation and streaming easier, from built-in content creator presets to replaceable LUTs. A Minecraft shader pack that focuses on improving visual fidelity in a way that doesn’t interrupt gameplay.
Features:
- Pixelated Shadows are now an official feature and are included in the Vanilla++ preset.
- Wavy Water has been added and is integrated with the advanced wind system – waves move faster and water level rises when raining or thundering.
- Presets: The Vanilla++ preset has been overhauled and now features more neutral colors and pixelated shadows. Vibrant colors can still be enabled by turning on Use LUT and are still on by default in Vanilla+++.
- Clouds are much more transparent, allowing you to see more of the sky (and the ground) through them.
- Ambient Occlusion: While proper AO is still being worked on, the vanilla ambient occlusion setting looks much prettier.
- Blindness: The blindness potion effect has been improved to match vanilla a bit better, and the transition out of blindness is smoother.
- Contrast: The post-processing Contrast option now works on brightness instead of directly on color, meaning cranking it up all the way no longer gives you that “deep-fried” look.
- Invisibility Distortion now has a strength slider.
- Outlines now have a new Outline Everything option – this one is still somewhat experimental.
- Shadow Filtering now has a Bilinear option.
- Wavy Grass: Grass and other wavy blocks now bend downwards when in wind (previously they just stretched sideways).
- Wind Strength has been decreased during calm weather (wavy grass is a bit more subtle).
- End Fog has been slightly dimmed to match the sky color.
- Sweet Berry Bushes are now considered “stiff” by the wind system – this means they won’t wave as much as other wavy blocks. The stiffness system is not new, but stiff berry bushes are.
- Panoramic Worlds: This new setting is intended for ultrawide and/or curved monitors, and adds a panoramic effect to your world to decrease the stretching you see at the edges of your screen at high FOVs.
- Dynamic Wind: Rather than blowing randomly, foliage gets affected by individual gusts of wind traveling in different directions. Weather affects the speed, direction, and intensity of wind gusts. Different dimensions have their own wind profiles.
- Choose between several Darkness Options, including Hardcore Darkness and Streamer Mode.
