Solid Mobs Mod (1.20.1, 1.19.3) is a Minecraft modification designed to change the physical properties of mobs within the game. By default, players can walk through mobs as if they were not solid. The Solid Mobs Mod addresses this by making mobs solid, adding a new layer of realism and strategy to the game.

Features:

  • The primary feature of this mod is that it makes mobs solid. This means that players can no longer walk through mobs, but instead will collide with them as they would with any other solid block in the game.

  • This mod allows mobs to have collisions like blocks or boats already do. Standing on a mob has you move with them, and you can hold crouch to stick to the mob and not fall off (as can happen with high lag)
  • all entities are collide-able (with some exceptions that can be set by the config & some hardcoded like projectiles and the ender dragon that act a bit weird)
  • config file (“minecraft/config/solid_mobs.json”) can be set to enable or disable certain collisions and tweak fall damage transfer amount
  • option to have the mobs fallen onto take a percentage of the fall damage
  • option to have slimes be bouncy like slime blocks
  • when walking/riding a mob you move with them
  • can hold crouch while on a mob to snap to it and never fall off
  • Server config will sync with joining client
